Project Summary:
Intel is making waves in Licking County with the construction of “Ohio One,” a groundbreaking $28 billion semiconductor manufacturing facility near the intersection of Green Chapel Road NW and Clover Valley Road in Johnstown, Ohio. As part of the infrastructure improvements to support this massive development, two key projects were undertaken to upgrade four local roads surrounding the site. These upgrades transformed the roads into high-capacity truck arterial roadways, ensuring efficient transportation for the facility.
The innovative pavement design included cement stabilization, a 6-inch aggregate base, a 10-inch single-lift RCC (roller-compacted concrete) layer, and a 3-inch asphalt surface. By the time the project is completed in 2024, over 80,000 cubic yards of RCC will have been produced to bring these improvements to life.
