PROJECT DETAILS: Based on the lowest pricing per alternate bids, The POHA selected RCC in lieu of PCC for the Phase I Container Terminal at Bayport. The project consisted of 144,000 square yards of 18″ RCC pavement and 61,000 square yards of 14″ RCC pavement, for a total of 95,575 cubic yards of pavement. AGP worked with the POHA and prime contractor to keep all fixed structures below the RCC pad line during the paving process, which provided the project uninterrupted RCC production (routinely up to 3,000 yards per day) and greatly expedited the project schedule. In 2016, AGP completed another 49,000 cubic yards of 18″ RCC Paving at Bayport for Container Yard VI North and is contracted to place another 44,000 cubic yards of dual lift paving for Container Yard VI South in 2017. After completion, the Bayport Terminal Complex will have over 250,000 cubic yards of RCC Paving.
